Seven Major Chakras & You

The Chakra system is a network of energy centers in the human body. The word "chakra" comes from Sanskrit and means "wheel" or "disk." There are seven major chakras located along the spine, each corresponding to specific physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of human experience.

The seven chakras are:

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara) - Located at the base of the spine, this chakra is associated with our sense of grounding, survival instincts, and connection to the physical world.

2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) - Located just below the navel, this chakra is associated with our creativity, sexuality, and emotional balance.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) - Located in the upper abdomen, this chakra is associated with our personal power, self-esteem, and willpower.

4. Heart Chakra (Anahata) - Located in the center of the chest, this chakra is associated with love, compassion, and emotional balance.

5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) - Located at the base of the throat, this chakra is associated with communication, self-expression, and authenticity.

6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) - Located in the center of the forehead, this chakra is associated with intuition, insight, and spiritual awareness.

7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) - Located at the top of the head, this chakra is associated with our connection to higher consciousness and spiritual enlightenment.

The Chakra system is interconnected and interdependent. When one or more chakras are blocked or out of balance, it can lead to physical or emotional symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or physical illness.
